For the past 20 years and across ten full-lengths, Texas alt-country outfit Old 97’s have been putting on one of the best roots rock shows around, passing through Nashville on a near annual basis in the process. This spring, the beloved group are hitting the road with indie/garage/blues rock band Heartless Bastards, known for their hypnotic stage presence and for singer Erika Wennerstrom’s powerful vocals. A match made in musical heaven, these groups will be sharing a bill when they make a stop at Cannery Ballroom on May 5, as part of a newly-announced lengthy spring run (full dates below). Tickets for the Nashville date will be available here for $25 starting Friday Feb. 5. BJ Barham of American Aquarium rounds out the bill, for one show that should definitely make your spring must-see list.
