Houndmouth to Play Cannery Ballroom April 29

Houndmouth-620

Just a few months after playing Lightning 100’s Festivus show at Marathon Music Works, Houndmouth have announced a return to Nashville, this time headlining the Cannery Ballroom on April 29.

The band’s sophomore album, last year’s Little Neon Limelight, was produced by local super-producer Dave Cobb (who will soon take over RCA Studio A). Cobb has been in the spotlight recently for his work with artists like Jason Isbell and Chris Stapleton, but when Houndmouth approached him about working on their new album, he said he would be glad to, but wasn’t going to make just another Americana album. That sounded perfect to the group, and the result is a record that marries the unhinged, creative energy and indie rock sensibilities of the Louisville music scene (where Houndmouth got their start) with the polished, country-tinged production of Nashville and Cobb. Grab tickets for the upcoming show beginning Thursday, Jan. 28 at 10 a.m. CST right here, and check out the video for “Sedona” below.
