Acclaimed PBS series Austin City Limits kicked off the new year last week with returning performers Alabama Shakes, who played six cuts from their Grammy nominated latest effort, Sound & Color. The local(ish) band have had a busy year, and their continued commercial success and critical acclaim has been wonderful to watch. While a repeat Bonnaroo outing doesn’t seem super likely, the southern rockers will appear this summer at Louisville’s Forecastle Fest, and are long overdue for a proper Nashville date; we’ll keep you posted. Watch the Shakes’ ACL appearance in full, which also features Vintage Trouble, below!
