Local fuzz pop outfit Daddy Issues and Louisville based rockers White Reaper are both celebrating pretty epic years. Daddy Issues recently signed with Infinity Cat Records, and have been riding the early success of their stellar June 2015 release, Can We Still Hang. White Reaper dropped their debut full length, White Reaper Does It Again, back in July to coincide with an epic performance at Forecastle. We know a lot of you were keeping up with them, because a bunch of you came out for the Acme rooftop party that we threw with our friends at Infinity Cat featuring both of these acts along with JAWWS! Well, just in time for Christmas, Daddy Issues and White Reaper have dropped new singles in a split 7″. The singles were tracked at Treehouse Records, and there are some behind the scenes videos from that experience thanks to Consequence Of Sound.
You can have a look inside the process while you are listening to “Drop Out” (Daddy Issues) and “Middle of America” (White Reaper) below. Also, if you don’t already have plans, White Reaper is on the bill for Palaver Records big New Years Eve blowout at The East Room along with JAWWS, JP5, Hans Condor, UZi, and Sexx. You can grab a copy of the 7″ at the show, or you can order one online here.
