Little Jack Lawrence-2015-620

Third Man Records fans know Little Jack Lawrence very well. The bassist has played with Jack White in The Dead Weather and The Raconteurs, and is a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist in The Greenhornes. Now he’s come out with his first solo video, a performance filmed in the Blue Room at Third Man and showcasing some very special equipment designed especially for the record label by boutique instrument makers Critter & Guitari. The song “Silver Flying Machine,” was recorded using the Septavox synthesizer and Terz amplifier, both of which were made just for TMR in its trademark black and yellow colors with unique sounds. The synth will cost you $395 and the amp $250, but there is bundle pricing available on the Third Man Records website.  Only these instruments can achieve the sounds heard in “Silver Flying Machine,” which you can listen to below.
