Don’t miss a love fest of a show TONIGHT, Nov. 12 at The Basement as The Sound Awake, Andrew Leahey & The Homestead, and Bill Eberle share the stage. This is a local bill the way local bills were meant to be. These guys are all friends and are sure to show The Basement a good time, though they’ve promised not to sing “Kumbaya.” Show starts at 9 p.m. and tickets are just $5. Read on for more info!
THE SOUND AWAKE
The Sound Awake, who you may remember from their “52 Songs in 52 Weeks” project form earlier this year, are made up of singer/guitarist/keyboardist Nick Bullock, bassist Kevin Harper, and drummer Thomas Elefante. This song-focused pop-rock band makes Nashville their home and can be seen often about town. When not fronting The Sound Awake, Nick Bullock can be found producing and recording in the studio he founded and runs, Awake Studios. There’s something joyously and nostalgically mid-’90s about this band, which is more than enough to convince us. Don’t miss the chance to check them out for yourself!
ANDREW LEAHEY & THE HOMESTEAD
Andrew Leahey has been described by his friends The Sound Awake as “one of the best songwriters” they’ve seen. Leahey will be playing this show with his band, The Homestead whose music is described as “heartland rock and roll.” Originally from Richmond, VA, Leahey, an artist we’ve gushed over on numerous occasions, now makes his own here in Nashville.
BILL EBERLE
You’ve probably seen Bill Eberle play around town, or at least heard his name here before. He’s also the subject of much praise from the evening’s headliners. Bill is a folk singer, a story teller, and a supremely nice guy. Be sure to show up early so you can check him out!
