JEFF The Brotherhood-2015-620

Just in time for their Halloween show at War Memorial Auditorium with Diarrhea Planet and Ranch Ghost, and ahead of the Nov. 13 release of their upcoming double album Global Chakra Rhythms, Nashville garage rock duo JEFF the Brotherhood have dropped another new single, this one a haunting cover of  Mazzy Star’s “Mary of Silence.” Like previous Global Chakra track “Radiating Fiber Plane,” the new tune marks a decidedly more lo-fi, fuzzy return to the sound that dominated the band’s earlier efforts. JEFF told the Nashville Scene that the cover “was recorded in a thick hash cloud at 3 or 4 in the morning by Colin Dupuis” in one take, and that state of mind most definitely shines through. Listen to “Mary of Silence” below, and grab tickets to what’s sure to be the most epic Halloween event in town right here!
