Since the release of local indie pop songstress CAPPA‘s debut EP back in the spring, we’ve gotten a show here and a remix there, all the while waiting for one of Nashville’s most promising rising artists to craft some new tunes. Today, the wait is over, as CAPPA triumphantly returns in time for fall with “Other Girls,” a track which builds on the synthy, moody, pop foundation laid down on her self-titled debut, while exploring broader pop accessibility, radio-ready hooks, and gloriously retro flair. CAPPA is sounding more confident than ever, and that’s no surprise, as her initial musical offerings have been met with internet-wide buzz and near universal acclaim. You can catch her live Oct. 23 at RCA Studio A for Cardboard Kids’ EP release (tickets) or Oct. 30 at Exit/In with Family Force 5 (tickets), and you can stream “Other Girls” below!
