Tomato Art Fest-2015

Tomato Art Fest is coming up this weekend, and, once again, we are here to help you get acquainted with the musical aspects of this year’s events on Friday and Saturday.  Friday night features the “Block Party” in Five Points.  While Saturday features four stages of music that will bring you pretty much anything that your big tomato heart desires.  Read on for more info about all the Tomato Art haps.

FRIDAY

TOMATO ART BLOCK PARTY | Xfinity Main Stage (11th btw Woodland & Holly) | 6pm | Free | All Ages

9:30pm NEULORE :: 8pm DANIEL ELLSWORTH AND THE GREAT LAKES :: 7pm THE FUTURE

Tomato Art Fest gets things started again this year with their Friday night block party.  This lineup will have you dancing your way into another spectacular weekend with the indie pop-folk of Neulore, the high energy indie rock of Daniel Ellsworth And The Great Lakes, dance ready indie popsters, The Future!  Get your feet tapping for the weekend with Neulore’s breakout, “Shadow Of A Man,” below.

SATURDAY

TOMATO ART FEST | Xfinity Main Stage (Beyond The Edge Parking Lot) | 11am | Free | All Ages

8:30pm THEM VIBES :: 6pm MYZICA :: 5pm KINK ADOR :: 4pm KYLIE MORGAN :: 3pm NEW CITY SAVAGES :: 2pm FLORALORIX :: 1pm MAGNOLIA SONS :: 12pm FANNY’S HOUSE OF MUSIC – TAKE BACK THE POWER :: 11am BOY NAMED BANJO

Saturday features a lineup stacked from top to bottom with blog faves and up and coming local stand outs.  From the folk flavors to electro pop to good old fashioned southern flaired rock n’ roll.  This all day hang will keep you coming back.  Have a listen to the new single “Mamma’s Got A Secret” from Them Vibes below, and get ready to sing along to close out Saturday evening of Tomato Art Fest.

4pm DON GALLARDO :: 3pm NATHAN BELT & THE BUCKLES :: 2pm THE HIGHJIVERS :: 1pm SHANNON LABRIE :: 12pm JESSICA DAWN :: 11am CAROLINA STORY

Blog faves like Don Gallardo, Shannon Labrie, Carolina Story and more take over Edley’s Second Stage this year, which, in year’s past, has provided a bit of refuge from the main stage mayhem.  Head over to catch a bit chiller vibe, and stick around for Gallardo, who’s going to be playing some of his original material, but will also be doing a special set to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Grateful Dead! Have a listen to the single “Down In The Valley” that we premiered back in May below to get a taste of his handiwork.

TOMATO ART FEST | Muddy Roots Stage (12th & Woodland) | 10am | Free | All Ages

Muddy Roots Music brings you some of the best of the Americana genre, as we told you about in the ticket giveaway that we are running for the full fledged Muddy Roots Music Festival.  Get in the spirit, and see what this festival is all about with their sponsored stage.  Trust us, if you like roots music, you will want to check out this incredible lineup for a little bit.

Fanny’s has long supported local East Nashville musicians, and heading over to their stage on Saturday will give you a peek back at what the early days of Tomato Art Fest looked like before it turned into a Nashville tradition.  Check out Colin O’Brien performing with his band at Music City Roots to get an idea of what that time was all about.
