There’s a new AmericanaFest show coming to downtown Nashville’s newest outdoor venue, the Ascend Amphitheater, and the lineup is doozy for any fan of country or Americana music. This one-time-only mini fest will take place on Saturday, September 19 and will feature the Coal Miner’s daughter herself Loretta Lynn headlining, along with performances from the likes of Steve Earle, Gillian Welch, Nikki Lane, and more playing on two different stages. Artists will continue to be announced in the coming weeks, and after that introduction we’re definitely curious to see who else the Americana Music Association will pull out of their sleeves to perform.
The event is happening as a part of the AmericanaFest, which fans know hosts many other performances and events dedicated to Americana music around town during that week. Tickets for the Ascend show will go on sale Friday, July 31 at 10 a.m. and cost between $25 and $75. A special discounted rate will be available for Americana Fest conference attendees, for which, registration is still open. There is also a presale happening on Thursday, July 30 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., and the password is AMF2015. This is a chance to see multiple country music legends for the price it would otherwise cost you to see just one of these revered artists, so we’d recommend jumping on these tickets quickly.
