What if it was possible to dance to The National? Nashville via NYC transplant MYYRA tackles that question, and comes up with a definitive “yes” answer. MYYRA, moniker of Paul Davidson, features baritone vocals and lyrical frankness similar to The National’s Matt Berninger, but the single, “All About You,” pairs those with a refined pop/alt-rock sensibility.
For the single’s video, airy synth layers lift the video’s sweeping shots featuring a visibly distraught fellow and model Abbey Caroline. Watch the video all the way to the end for a dramatic conclusion. The companion EP, Erase. Rewind. Restart., will be out June 9th via Clowder Media.
