CAPPA2015-620

If you’ve been paying attention for the past few weeks, then you know that we’re totally enchanted by local indie pop singer CAPPA and her debut single and accompanying video, “Hush” (we previously described the hypnotic banger as “if Taylor Swift composed the soundtrack to Drive“). Ahead of her debut EP, the young singer, who formerly performed under her full name, Carla Cappa, before rebranding her sound and style, has treated us to a second track, “In the Morning” (via MuuMuse). Electro-infused, sweeping, and lush with infectious synth lines, layered melody, and soulful vocals hooks, it only serves as a further testament to this budding starlet’s range, and reinforces our excitement for her record. Check out the r&b-influenced, Jon Santana produced single below (fans of Grimes, Banks, Chelsea Lankes, and SZA will not be disappointed), and, if you’re as obsessed as we are, you might want to keep an eye on our Acme showcase announcements in the coming weeks.
