Folksters Lord Huron sold out Cannery Ballroom when they came to Nashville last year. Since then, we’ve seen several arms and shoulder blades tattooed with their lyrics. The band are continuing their western (and broader thematic focus) with new record Strange Trails (out April 7); their new track, “Hurricane (Johnnie’s Theme),” features sunny guitars that paint western images in our heads, optimistic cowboys lassoing ponies, playing cards with cowbros, wooing prairie babes, and the like. Take a listen over at NPR Music before the band’s May 6 date at The Ryman.
