BuiltToSpill-620

Since the early ’90s, Built to Spill have been a revolutionary act in indie rock, and, ahead of April 21 release (CD and digital, the vinyl will drop April 18 for Record Store Day) of their eighth album, Untethered Moon, the group’s influence has never been so deep-rooted and integral to the sound of that scene. Following the departure of  drummer Brad Nelson and bassist Scott Plouf a few years back, frontman Doug Martsch scrapped an early version of Moon, opting to rewrite and re-record after a lengthy tour run. The band feel more inspired than they have in years and have always been a live powerhouse, so their May 7 return to Exit/In with Wooden Indian Burial Ground has already catapulted to one of our most-anticipated shows of the spring. Grab tickets beginning Friday, March 6 at 10 a.m. CST, and listen to new single “Living Zoo” below!
