The weather is warming up (for now) and we’re diving headfirst into March. That means spring is right around the corner, and so is festival season! Last week brought TONS of show announcements, festival details, contests, releases, and more, and left us dreaming of warmer days and spring events.  It was a busy one, so, in case you missed anything, here’s a recap of everything we covered last week on the site:

  • NO COUNTRY PRESENTS: Zeke Duhon & Liza Anne | Tuesday, March 3 at Acme Feed & Seed
  • NEWS: Avers, Andrew Leahey & The Homestead and Mateja announced a show at The Stone Fox.
  • NEWS: PVRIS, Motion City Soundtrack, and more joined the Vans Warped Tour.
  • NEWS: Brooklyn’s Dreamers announced a show at The End with Born Cages.

  • NEWS: The Beale St Music Fest announced its epic (and budget friendly) lineup, including Paramore, Pixies, Cage The Elephant, and more!
  • NEWS: Indie pop duo Tennis announced a spring return to The High Watt!

  • SHOW: 12th & Porter hosted a Rock & Roll Bash featuring a diverse lineup of Secret Club, The NICNos, The Cunning and Megan Ruger.
  • SHOW: Nora Jane Struthers & The Party Line performed at The High Watt.
  • SHOW: The Lowest Pair headlined Bobby’s Idle Hour.
  • SHOW: New York rockers A Place To Bury Strangers took over The End with Ed Schrader’s Music Beat and Breast Massage.
  • SHOW: The Beech Benders performed at The East Room with The Western Shore, Nellie Pearl and Sara Syms.
  • RELEASE: Meth Dad dropped a new single ahead of his show at The Stone Fox.
  • RELEASE: Daisyhead premiered another new track ahead of their debut LP.
  • RELEASE: Local group MELK released their new album, All The Punk Girls!
  • RELEASE: JJ Grey & Mofro released their much anticipated new LP Ol’ Glory ahead of their Marathon Music Works performance.
  • RELEASE: Americana artist Kristin Diable released Create Your Own Mythology ahead of her show at The Basement.
  • STREAM: ELEL made their debut EP available to stream early, ahead of their March 14 Stone Fox release show!
  • VIDEO: Local rocker PUJOL premiered a crazy new music video for “Manufactured Crisis Control.”
  • VIDEO: Sleater-Kinney stopped by Late Night with Seth Meyers ahead of their show at Marathon Music Works.
  • VIDEO: Indiana Queen released a new video for alt-country ballad “This Is Me Trying.”
  • VIDEO: Mikky Ekko stopped by Letterman to performing his new single “Riot.”
  • VIDEO: Nashville’s own Natalie Prass has been singing with Ryan Adams on the road, and made her TV debut on Last Call with Carson Daily.
  • VIDEO: Alt-J premiered a music video for “Pusher” ahead of their April Grand Ole Opry show.
  • VIDEO: Death Cab For Cutie debuted a lyric video for new single “No Room in Frame.”
  • VIDEO: Sleater-Kinney were animated by Bob’s Burgers in their music video.
  • VIDEO: Matt and Kim debuted a lyric video for new single “Hoodie” ahead of their show at Marathon Music Works.
  • VIDEO: Hip Hop outfit Jung Youth released a new video for “Peter” ahead of a show at The Stone Fox!
  • VIDEO: Turbo Fruits performed a couple of new songs live on Lightning 100 in support of their upcoming album, No Control.
  • CONTEST: Ticket Giveaway: Gogol Bordello | March 5 at Marathon Music Works
