Nashville has finally thawed out, and things are back up and running, following a week plagued by ice storms, cancellations, and a whole lot of cabin fever. While we weren’t able to catch all of the shows we had hoped to (including our own Acme showcase, which we were forced to cancel), we still managed to bring you plenty of news, reviews, releases, contests, and more. In case you missed anything last week, here’s a recap:

  • NO COUNTRY PRESENTS: James Wallace & the Naked Light and Ian Johnson | Tuesday, Feb. 24 at Acme Feed & Seed
  • NEWS: The 2015 Muddy Roots Music Festival lineup was revealed!
  • NEW: Local group The Sound Awake announced an ambitious “52 Songs in 52 Weeks” project.
  • NEWS: Fontanel rebranded its Woods Amphitheater and announced its initial summer slate of shows.
  • NEWS: FIDLAR announced a spring show at Mercy Lounge with METZ.
  • NEWS: JEFF the Brotherhood were dropped from Warner Bros., returned to Infinity Cat, and released a new single featuring Jethro Tull’s Ian Anderson.
  • NEWS: Luna Halo and more were announced to perform at 12th & Porter’s final show.
  • FEATURE: This Weekend in Nashville: We rounded up the weekend’s top show picks.
  • REVIEW: We caught Parquet Courts at Exit/In with Nots and Churchyard (w/ PHOTOS).
  • REVIEW: We brought you our thoughts on Tedeschi Trucks Band‘s Ryman performance with Jerry Douglas (w/ PHOTOS).
  • SHOW: JD McPherson braved the snow to play Mercy Lounge with Dylan Pratt.
  • SHOW: Easy Roscoe played a Grimey’s in-store in support of the release of their new LP.
  • SHOW: The Sidekicks performed at The Stone Fox with Cayetana and Free Throw.
  • SHOW: Sean Watkins and Jill Andrews played The Basement.
  • SHOW: Dumpstaphunk performed at Exit/In with Laura Reed.
  • SHOW: Turnstile, Superheaven, Freedom, True Love, and Orthodox played The End.
  • SHOW: We, unfortunately, had to cancel our Acme Feed & Seed showcase with Halfbrass, Sol Cat, and Firekid.
  • SHOW: Kevin Devin and Into It. Over It. were forced to cancel their show at The High Watt.
  • SHOW: Paperhaus, Tesla Rossa, and Earl Burrows were slated to play The East Room, but canceled due to weather.
  • RELEASE: CASA debuted a new single called “Fogpuncher.”
  • RELEASE: Nashville’s Grave Pool released his sophomore album, Mnemonics.
  • RELEASE: *repeat repeat dropped a cover of The Turtles’ “Elenore” ahead of Record Store Day.
  • VIDEO: Jack White premiered an interactive, 3-in-1 video for “That Black Bat Licorice.”
  • CONTEST: Ticket Giveaway: Gogol Bordello | March 5 at Marathon Music Works
  • CONTEST: Ticket Giveaway: Father John Misty | March 25 at Marathon Music Works
  • CONTEST: Ticket Giveaway: Sylvan Esso | April 1 at Cannery Ballroom
