BlackfootGypsies-620

That’s right faithful readers, we’re keeping our weekly showcase at Acme Feed and Seed going next week, when local blues rock ’n’ rollers the Blackfoot Gypsies headline with support from resident indie rock singer songwriter Shane Piasecki. Make sure to check out the full preview after the jump to get hip to both of these amazing acts. As always, this showcase will be free to anyone and everyone who’s 21 +, and note that we are getting things started a little earlier at 7:00 pm to get you home before the winter witching hour. All we ask  is that you come ready to rock!

BLACKFOOT GYPSIES

In addition to being long time friends of No Country, the Blackfoot Gypsies are one of the best local bands in the Music City rock ’n’ roll scene that we’re so found of telling you all about. After relentless touring, and a couple record releases, including their latest The New Sounds of Transwestern, they are back in Nashville, and ready to rock Acme with their garage/blues tinged tunes. We are also happy to report that they’ve recorded and mastered a new album, entitled Handle it, which will be released in the next month or so. It was recorded in Old Hickory, TN, and features an expanded (four piece) line-up, which they are also touring with. For now, we’ve embedded one of our favorite songs from the previous album below, but make sure you’re there in person Tuesday night to hear some stuff off of the new record, and stay tuned to No Country for more details on when said record will be available for mass consumption.

SHANE PIASECKI

Local, via Toledo, OH, Shane Piasecki has built a strong following, in Australia of all places … even though he’s never toured there. With the release of Set You Free, his first label backed record (LandStar Entertainment), Shane is building on the momentum of his first three DIY efforts set into motion. Eager to get equal buzz here in the states, and Nashville specifically, he is ready to share with you his signature blend of R&B pop-folk blues Tuesday night, but only if you get to Acme early. See what all the fuss from down under is about for yourself, and support another amazing Music City singer songwriter.

Blackfoot Gypsies and Shane Piasecki will perform Tuesday, Jan. 13 at Acme Feed & Seed. The show is 21+, begins at at 7:00 pm, and is totally free!
