Local Venue Anthem to Close Next Year

Anthem-620

Bad news for fans of EDM and hip hop. According to the Nashville Cream, popular local nightclub and venue Anthem, which opened nearly two years ago, has plans to close Feb. 8. While business seems steady in the space, which has managed to successfully carve out a niche in cornering the market for the mid-sized DJ and rap scene, its owners are looking at covering the space into a restaurant, or, possibly, two, anticipating the continued growth and development of the North Gulch corridor and the needs of its new residents. While we’re sad to see Anthem go, we’re sure that a comparable and like minded space will pop up to fill the hole it’s sure to leave.
