Fly Golden Eagle

We told you about this a few weeks ago upon the release of the insane new record, Quartz, that an upcoming weekend filled with all the Fly Golden Eagle you could handle was coming.  Well, the time is upon us, so head below to find out about your opportunity to hang with Nashville’s fastest rising psych stars at Grimey’s, The Stone Fox, and Queen Ave. Art Collective.  Get ready to party Nashville, because groovin’ in packed confines to some of the dopest psych jams in Nashville is definitely the best way to keep warm.

FRIDAY

IN-STORE
@ Grimey’s | 6pm | Free | All Ages

Nothing like letting one of Nashville’s biggest independent forces host the kick off to FGE Fest this weekend.  Grimey’s starts things off for us with a sure to be packed in store.  Head over to party at your favorite local record store after work with BEERfreshments for those of age.

SCREENING OF ‘HOLY MOUNTAIN’ & LISTENING PARTY
@ The Stone Fox | 10pm | FREE | 18+

The album is supposedly inspired by and lines up with the groundbreaking 1973 film The Holy Mountain, an avant-garde masterpiece directed by Alejandro Jodorowsky, produced by The Beatles’ manager Allen Klein, and funded by John Lennon and George Harrison.  Leave it to The Stone Fox to throw the official screening/listening party for you to check it out.  Dark Side Of The Moon and The Wizard Of Oz?  Nope, this should be even cooler.

SATURDAY

FLY GOLDEN EAGLE, CLEAR PLASTIC MASKS, PAPERHEAD, CHROME PONY
@ Queen Ave Art Collective | 9pm | $10 | 21+

The official release party turns the east side warehouse space into a giant dance party at Queen Ave Art Collective featuring performances from the FGE, Clear Plastic Masks, and Chrome Pony.  However, it also doubles as a release party for Paperhead, who just dropped their new record, Africa Avenue, on Tuesday November 12th.  You better get there early to ensure your spot in what should be the party of the weekend.
