Check Yo Ponytail

Just last month, we told you about an exciting upcoming tour called Check Yo Ponytail, which was set to stop at Marathon Music Works next week, Nov. 5. This event was slated to feature The Presets, Le1f, Chela, Antwon, and Franki Chan, as well as an interesting slew of original art and multimedia. Unfortunately, we’ve recently received some sour news: the show has been cancelled. We’re quite sorry to hear this, as it seemed like it could have been one hell of a night. If you’ve already purchased tickets, you can get a full refund at your point of purchase.

If this news ruined your Wednesday plans, don’t worry, there’s still plenty to do around Nashville. For instance, you could check out Macaulay Culkin’s  pizza based Velvet Underground cover band, The Pizza Underground, over at Mercy Lounge. Yes, you read that last sentence correctly. The kid from Home Alone is in a band that plays pizza-fied versions of Lou Reed tunes, and the act even features antifolk extraordinaire Deenah Vollmer playing the pizza box. So if you’re as bummed about the cancellation of Check Yo Ponytail as we are, well, at least some there are some interesting options out there.
