By now we hope you’ve heard, our live events production wing, No Country Presents, has taken up residence at Lower Broadway’s hippest new restaurant, lounge, retail, and event space, Acme Feed & Seed, where we’ve been bringing you a weekly, FREE, Tuesday night showcase, featuring some of our favorite emerging local talent. The curated showcase runs from 8 to 11 p.m. each week, and, so far, has featured everything from folk to funk to rock to indie. For our next installment, on Tuesday, Oct. 14, we’re bringing you an exciting double bill of indie pop singer Rebecca Roubion and alt folk outfit Waterfall Wash. Keep reading to find out all about them, and cancel any other plans you might have Tuesday night, because you’re coming to hang with us. Got it?

REBECCA ROUBION

Piano pop songstress Rebecca Roubion was raised in Mobile, AL, but has spent the last several years in Nashville cultivating a following, propelled, in no small part, by the release of a pair of EPs, Fields and Forests, a followup to which seems to be right around the corner. A confident, soulful, and dynamic singer akin to artists like Regina Spektor and Jenny Owen Youngs, Roubion is a gem amongst Music City’s singer-songwriter scene, and a real treat to witness live.

WATERFALL WASH

An experimental mesh of folk, indie, gospel, and rock, Waterfall Wash are an act who have been on our radar now for a couple of years, and one we believe are poised to break out in a big way soon. The group have released two singles, “Landmark” and “Currents” this year, and are expected to drop their debut album soon. Live, the band are energetic, diverse, and polished; undeniably one of Nashville’s best underground artists. We couldn’t be happier to showcase them for you at Acme, and urge you to come witness one extra special night of local tunes.

Rebecca Roubion and Waterfall Wash will perform Tuesday, Oct. 14, at Acme Feed & Seed. The show is 21+, music begins at 8 p.m., and, per usual, it’s totally FREE. Downtown PARKING can sometimes be an issue. However, if you’re willing to walk a few blocks, street parking is typically easy to find on the numbered avenues south of Broadway, or along Korean Veterans Blvd. Metered spaces are often free after 6 p.m.
