Thelma and the Sleaze Release New EP “Heart Like a Fist”

Local all-girl hard rockers Thelma and the Sleaze have just released a new six-song EP Heart Like a Fist on Weiner Records. These ladies play Detroit-style garage riffs and classic cock-rock better than the boys, and put on a live show that oozes old-school rock and roll. They also organize the feminist mini-festival Bitchfest, where we caught them over the weekend, to support women in music. The band is headed out on tour in support of the new record, hitting up the deep south and the west coast.
