Just a week ahead of her full-length debut, Goddess, due out Sept. 9 via Harvest Records, LA electropop/r&b singer on the rise, Banks, has unveiled another new track from the album (the fifth official single this year), “Someone New.” Unlike previous releases, which lean heavily on electronics and ambient, atmospheric production, “Someone New” showcases a softer, rawer side of the singer, with just simple, subtle acoustic guitar backing her heartfelt lyrics about love and longing. As we previously announced, Banks is set to perform at our own Cannery Ballroom on Sept. 24, and, although our ticket giveaway has ended, you can still purchase tickets right here.
