HalfNoise, the solo vehicle of Nashville-based ex-Paramore drummer Zac Farro, recently debuted a new single, “Mountain,” and accompanying music video. Filmed partially in New Zealand, where the singer spent seven months writing and recording his upcoming album, Volcano Crowe, the video was directed by Aaron Joseph, and boasts epic, sweeping landscapes and artistic performance shots.

Farro collaborated with Canon Blue’s Daniel James on both his debut EP and upcoming release, which James chatted about in our recent No Country For New Nashville Podcast. A drastic departure form his former band, HalfNoise draws influences from indie pop, electronic, and post-rock. Currently, no release date has been set for Volcano Crowe, nor have any upcoming local dates been announced, but we expect to learn more soon. We’ll keep you posted!
