If you have never seen Rodrigo y Gabriela, you should amend that immediately. The rhythmic up-tempo guitar virtuosos perform what is best described as a blend of latin based instrumental rock music that is heavily influenced by the band’s love of heavy metal. However, any of you that have seen the duo perform know that those are mere words in comparison to the spectacle of their live performance. We’ve had the opportunity to check them out in numerous festival settings, and each performance has been jaw dropping. They are on the European festival track this summer, but will have a series of US dates in the late summer / early fall in support of their recently released LP 9 Dead Alive.
If you are familiar with Rodrigo y Gabriela already, then you likely have your tickets to what should be a magical performance at The Ryman on August 8th. If you haven’t heard them before, you have the opportunity to check out their Soundmaker EP for free via Noisetrade.
Rodrigo y Gabriela will perform at the Ryman Auditorium on August 8th at 8 pm. The show is all ages, and tickets are available ranging from $35 -$45.
