Finishing out what has been a fun (for us anyway) lead up to the Aliza Carter Band release show on Wednesday night at The Stone Fox, we introduce you to Warrin. Ironically, Warrin probably needs no introduction for most of you, we told you about his other project yesterday in our Bonnaroo Club Stage Band of the Day post for The Lonely Biscuits, but this is another creative outlet for John Paterini, the soulful lead vocalist of the Biscuits.
Given that the project is newly born, amidst other commitments for the overly-booked Biscuit, this one is going to be a bit of a mystery for you guys out there, because there isn’t any media out for this one yet. However, one listen to The Biscuits, and you’ll know that Paterini’s voice has natural R&B tendencies. The best we can describe the little bit that we’ve heard is R&B toned lo-fi folk ala Vetiver in their 2009 Sub Pop release Tight Knit. We’ll possibly form new opinions after Wednesday, but you should just come out for the debut show to form your own.
Check below to listen to one of the more soulful Lonely Biscuits tracks, featuring lots of Paterini (Warrin), and make sure to RSVP to the event on Wednesday, April 30th at The Stone Fox for what is going to be a stellar night.
Warrin, Aliza Carter Band, and HOSTS will perform Wednesday April 30th at The Stone Fox. The show is 18+, begins at 9PM (doors at 5PM), and tickets are available for $7.
