We’ve been preaching about this new Denney And The Jets record Mexican Coke since our first listen. We brought you the first single “Bye Bye Queenie” and followed that up with “Mama’s Got The Blues”. Yesterday Mexican Coke premiered via American Songwriter, and you can stream the whole album below before it is released on April 8th via Burger Records.
Mexican Coke was recorded in East Nashville at The Bomb Shelter by Andrija Tokic (Alabama Shakes) and front man Chris Denney. Denney enlisted the help of friends Clear Plastic Masks to back him in the studio and offer some co-production. Needless to say, this is a talented crew. We’ve had an eye on Denney And The Jets for a few years now, and we’ll have our ears on Mexican Coke for many years to come. Bravo!
Digging what you hear? Make sure you mark your calendar for an intimate in-store album release party at Fond Object on April 8th, and again for another in-store at Grimeys on April 26th!
