Another busy week, huh? Between festival announcements left and right (but not Bonnaroo- yet), more quality shows than we could handle, ticket giveaways, song and video releases, locals on late night TV, and some major tour announcements, it definitely feels like the holiday lull is over. Look out for even more exciting news and features this week, more exciting contests, and the first installment in a new ongoing project that we’re excited to tell you more about soon!

  • NEWS: America’s Got Talent will be hosting auditions in Nashville next week.
  • NEWS: Katy Perry announced a massive summer tour. Not only is she taking a local artist on the road, but she’ll be performing at Bridgestone Arena in June.
  • NEWS: Reunited hip hop duo Outkast announced that they will perform “over 40 festivals” in 2014; could Bonnaroo be one of them?
  • NEWS: Wild Cub are set to appear on Fallon, and made it to #1 on Alt Nation!
  • NEWS: Portugal. The Man announced a show at Cannery Ballroom, and we gave away tickets!

  • SHOW: Foxing and R△CHEL performed at Nehau5.
  • RELEASE: Night Beds premiered a new song, “Head for the Hills.”
  • RELEASE: Angel Olsen released a new song, “Hi-Five,” ahead of her upcoming show at The Stone Fox.
  • STREAM: Young the Giant are streaming their new album early; don’t forget to catch them at The Ryman!
  • STREAM: Against Me! made their new album, Transgender Dysphoria Blues, available for early streaming, ahead of a show in Nashville.
  • VIDEO: Local rockers Moon Taxi made their debut on Conan.
  • VIDEO: Video of Diarrhea Planet‘s New Year’s Eve performance at Exit/In found its way online.
