Does it feel like October yet? The weather might not have caught up to the month (until today), but the concert calendar sure has. Last week on the site, we brought you show preview after show preview, often on the same day. The fall show schedule has no signs of slowing down, either, as we dive head-first into another week packed with great music.

We also brought you a ton of exciting news about upcoming events, records releases, giveaways, and more! In case you missed anything, here’s a recap of what we covered last week on the site:

  • NEWS: Brendan Benson announced a brand new studio album, You Were Right, and released a new track.
  • NEWS: Both The Dead Weather and The Raconteurs have new releases on the way though Third Man Records.
  • NEWS: Rapper Lupe Fiasco announced a fall show at War Memorial Auditorium, and we gave away tickets.
  • NEWS: Nashville’s HalfNoise finished tracking a new album in New Zealand.

  • STREAM: Sleigh Bells‘ new album, Bitter Rivals, is streaming early; catch them next month at Marathon Music Works.
  • STREAM: Cage the Elephant made their new album, Melophobia, available for early streaming.
  • VIDEO: The Civil Wars released a new video for “Dust to Dust,” featuring lost footage from a trip to Paris.
  • VIDEO: We exclusively premiered Daisyhead‘s new lyric video, “I Couldn’t Face You.”
  • FUN: Hump Day Diversion: Wrecking Hog
  • CONTEST: We’re giving away a pair of tickets for Gary Clark Jr‘s upcoming Oct. 15 show at Marathon Music Works.
