DiarrheaPlanet

We’ve certainly talked about Nashville rockers Diarrhea Planet on plenty of occasions before, but perhaps haven’t fully stressed enough just how incredible a band the once-noise-project has become over the past couple of years. The six-piece outfit, which includes a whopping four guitarists, crank out huge, bombastic, energetic jams with elements of punk, power pop, garage rock, indie, and heartland rock. Since the release of their 2011 debut full-length, Loose Jewels, Diarrhea Planet have seen an ever-increasing amount of critical attention, and have ended up on the radar of every major music press outlet around. Their versatile sound makes them just as suited to tour alongside bands such as Titus Andronicus, as to perform day fests with the likes of Widespread Panic and Futurebirds.

Diarrhea Planet’s brand new full-length, I’m Rich Beyond Your Wildest Dreams, will drop this Tuesday, Aug. 20 via Infinity Cat. However, if you just can’t wait that long, you can listen to the whole thing right now on SPIN.

Additionally, you have two chances to catch the band around Nashville today. First, DP will perform a free in-story at Grimey’s Too at 3PM. As with all in-stores, space is limited, and this one is bound to fill up! For a more complete Diarrhea Planet experience, the rockers are throwing an album release show tonight at Exit/In, along with an impressive lineup of Hunx & His Punk, The So So Glos, Hunters, and Bully! Things get started at 9PM, and you can still grab tickets for just $12 right here, but hurry, this one is likely to sell out! After the jump, we’ve got previews of all the bands, including DP’s brand new music video for “Separations.”
