We know you guys love ticket giveaways, so here’s yet another one!

English psychedelic post-punks Clinic will be taking the stage this Thursday (4/25) at Mercy Lounge, joined by No Joy and locals Kink Ador! We absolutely loved Clinic’s last album, Free Reign, and we’re floored that they’re finally performing in Nashville.

We’ve got two different ways to score tickets for this one, so check out a little bit about the bands and contest instructions after the jump!

When I reviewed Free Reign, I called Clinic a hard band to pin down. They’re a little bit art-rock, a little bit pop, and a little bit psychedelic with a 70′s aesthetic and a distinctly modern experimental backbone thrown in for good measure. Thirteen years and eight albums into their career, you’d think that they’d have lost some artistic traction, or at least would sound a bit tired by now; they haven’t and they don’t. Clinic remains both instantly listenable and pleasant while staying dense and adventerous. They’ve got a road-worn, expert, and artsy live performance to boot, and the strength of their show is a perfect companion to their varied and amazing musical catalogue.

Check out the band’s video for “Miss You:”

Ever since their fantastic 2010 debut, Ghost Blonde, shoegazey alt-rock darlings No Joy have been climbing their way up the indie ladder. After an early gig with Best Coast, cosigns from some of the most credible indie blogs, and eventual touring spots with Dungen, Vivan Girls, Surfer Blood, and more, the group has really honed their sound and strengthened their live chops. Their new album, Wait to Pleasure, drops this week.

If you keep up with the site regularly, you already know that we recommend catchy, hypnotic, feel good local rockers Kink Ador every chance we get. Their guy/girl dynamic, poppy, driving riffs, and roll and roll energy and spirit makes them one of the most fun live bands around.
