You may have noticed that we took another week off from this feature last week. Over half of the late night shows took a break, so I wanted to go ahead and wait for a week where we’ll have some decent recommendations for every single night.
I know it’s tough to keep track of all of the great performances on television each week, so every Monday I’ll bring you a roundup of the best artists (along with a bonus pick or two). So get those DVRs set (or remember to check Hulu the next day) for:

MONDAY (1/28)
DON’T MISS: Divine Fits on Last Call with Carson Daly [NBC; 1:35AM/12:35c]: Divine Fits are a supergroup featuring members of Spoon and Wolf Parade. If that’s not enough to pique your interest, give their debut album, A Thing Called Divine Fits, a spin- it’s amazing!
Here’s Divine Fits performing their single “My Love Is Real” live in Studio Q:

Bonus: David Byrne & St. Vincent on Late Show with David Letterman [CBS; 11:35PM/10:35c]: Former Talking Heads frontman David Byrne is no stranger to successful collaborations. His latest with St. Vincent proves to be one his most fun records in years!

TUESDAY (1/29)
DON’T MISS: Ultraista on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon [NBC; 12:35AM/11:35c]: Radiohead producer/Atoms of Peace member Nigel Godrich is the brains behind Ultraista. Joined by Beck/R.E.M. drummer Joey Waronker and vocalist Laura Bettinson, the group’s pedigree is as strong as its self-titled debut.
You can check out the official video for the band’s song “Bad Insect” below:
Bonus: Macklemore & Ryan Lewis on Late Show with David Letterman [CBS; 11:35PM/10:35c]: Rapper Macklemore has been experiencing a huge comeback thanks to a little help from producer Ryan Lewis. Their recent release, The Heist, was one of the best independent hip hop records of 2012!
Bonus: Metric on Last Call with Carson Daly [NBC; 1:35AM/12:35c]: I’m still reeling from how great Metric’s fall performance at The Ryman was! Daly’s using pre-taped performances from late last year for this week, so hopefully we’ll get to see a song they haven’t performed on TV yet!
Bonus: Lisa Loeb on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno [NBC; 11:35PM/10:35c]: ’90s darling Lisa Loeb is finally returning to her roots after several years of releasing albums for children. Child Gilbert, guitarist of New Found Glory, produced her forthcoming comeback album. Weird, right?

WEDNESDAY (1/30)
DON’T MISS: Shovels & Rope on Late Show with David Letterman [CBS; 11:35PM/10:35c]: If you’re itching for a replacement for The Civil Wars, while the group figures out if they’re still a group, Shovels & Rope (and their debut O’ Be Joyful) might be just what you’re looking for. This will be the duo’s television debut!
Shovels & Rope will be performing at the Mercy Lounge in Nashville on 2/7/13. You can find more info here. Here’s the group performing a live radio version of their single “Birmingham:”
Bonus: Bad Religion on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon [NBC; 12:35AM/11:35c]: I’m already incredibly excited for the legendary punks to release their new album and perform in Nashville in March. A little extra television exposure is icing on the cake!
Bad Religion will be performing at the War Memorial Auditorium in Nashville on 3/20/13. You can find more info here.
Bonus: Ben Folds Five on Conan [TBS; 11PM/10c]: The return of Ben Folds Five and the nostalgia is brings is starting to wear a bit, especially after a so-so comeback album. Still, I used to love the group quite a lot and they’re always amazing performers!
Bonus: Shiny Toy Guns on Last Call with Carson Daly [NBC; 1:35AM/12:35c]: This is another leftover performance from last year edited into a new episode of Last Call, but with as many great songs as there are on STG’s latest, III, I don’t even mind!

THURSDAY (1/31)
DON’T MISS: fun. on Conan [TBS; 11PM/10c]: It’s not like I need to tell you how great the past year has been for fun. If you weren’t one of the lucky folks who snagged tickets to see them in Nashville before the show sold out, you can keep your fingers crossed for Bonnaroo and tune into Conan.
fun. will be performing at The Ryman Auditorium in Nashville on 2/16/13. You can find more info here. Here’s the band’s performance of “We Are Young” from their stop at ‘Conan’ last year:

Bonus: Tegan and Sara on Jimmy Kimmel Live! [ABC; 11:35PM/10:35c]: Tegan and Sara’s highly-anticipated new album Heartthrob is set to release tomorrow (1/29). The indie pop duo are also among the performers just announced to play Coachella this spring!
Bonus: Regina Spektor on Last Call with Carson Daly [NBC; 1:35AM/12:35c]: This is another recycled footage performance, but I could watch Regina play songs from What We Saw from the Cheap Seats all day long. Tune in and relive her incredible recent Ryman performance.

FRIDAY (2/1)
DON’T MISS: Grimes on Last Call with Carson Daly [NBC; 1:35AM/12:35c]: Tune in to see why I named Grimes one of the Best Nashville Shows of 2012. Even though this performance was filmed late last year, it’s still likely going one of the best you can catch all week!
Check out a fantastic performance from Grimes at last year’s Pitchfork Music Festival:
