I would normally write up each of these shows individually, and I will pick and choose a couple to focus on this week. It’s Monday morning though, and I want to give you a heads up so you can plan your week accordingly. You can check our calendar to see more details about any of these shows.
If you don’t already have tickets to one of Mumford & Sons shows this week during their three night stand at The Ryman, then you probably aren’t a big enough fan to pay scalper prices. But, those are going to be some pretty big shows this week, and you know Hatch Show Prints have been busy as hell getting ready for that run. Here’s a clip of them, in case you have been living under a rock for the past few years.

Now that we have that out of the way, let’s start on Tuesday with your choice of Lovedrug performing their new album (that releases that day) in it’s entirety. That show is sure to be a good time over at 12th & Porter. You also have Craig Finn performing at the new stage at Mercy Lounge. For those of you that don’t know Craig Finn, you probably aren’t fans of Finn’s other little band, The Hold Steady, or his previous band, Lifter Puller. I’ve attached some vids of both Craig Finn and Lovedrug below to help you make up your mind.

Wednesday keeps punching your time card in late to work with more decisions. You can swing by the Exit/In to check out Nashville’s indie songstress Tristen w/ Birdcloud, William Tyler, & Ranch Ghost. If you need a bit more of a kick in your pants, then you can swing by The End for a night with Titus Andronicus, Screaming Females, & Diarrhea Planet. This one is more of a “what’s yur poison” kind of decision. I’ve attached vids of Titus Andronicus & Tristen below.

Moving right along… are you exhausted yet? Don’t worry, you can sleep at work. That’s what that big desk in front of you is for.
Thursday brings us a bout of Freakin’ Weekend festivities over at Exit/In with a night of The Greenhornes, Pujol, Ranch Ghost, Denney & the Jets, & Dirty Dreams. Just some good ole Nashville rock n roll. Greenhornes vid below for you.

Watusi, Useless Eaters, & Fox Fun. Mercy Lounge boasts Maps & Atlases with Casa Castile. Mercy Lounge’s new stage features Heypenny with James Wallace and the Naked Light & Antennas Up. While No Country favorites Vinyl Thief, Kicks, & The Floorwalkers are playing at 12th & Porter. Below you can check out vids of Jeff and Maps & Atlases.

Saturday! You slept in, right? Good, because we have Neon Indian w/ Purity Ring at Mercy Lounge. Traditional Fools, Mikal Cronin, Heavy Cream, The Men, Cannomen will be bringing the noise to The End. Kink Ador w/ Go Back To The Zoo will be partying it up at 12th & Porter. Another band that we are really excited about here is Battle Avenue who will be at Springwater with Stateside Menace. I’ve attached vids for Neon Indian and Mikal Cronin to help you make your decision.

Don’t forget about Sunday funday. We have a very special announcement that we will be talking about later this week, so stay tuned, and KEEP YOUR CALENDAR OPEN FOR SUNDAY!
Pick and chose from our suggestions above, and get out to see some live music this weekend.
you have any information about a high watt website? the craig finn show is listed as the mercy lounge. the mercy/cannery site makes no mention of the high watt that i’ve seen.
I don’t know of a website for High Watt. I just noticed some different symbols on their calendar. It’s some new stage at Mercy… maybe it will become High Watt.
think maybe they are doing something to the back room in mercy lounge? seems like craig finn would have a bigger draw than that back room so maybe mercy lounge is changing..
Maybe we should both head over there tonight and find out what’s going on. 😉
