Almost a month into 2012, and we have a pretty significant week of new music releases.  Per usual, I’ve tried to link some reviews to each that contains at least a track or two for you to hear.  Give it a listen today, and then head down to your local record store to pick up some new music this week.

While I’m pretty excited about all the releases on this list, I’m going to give you my favorites of this week to start with.  I would start with Chairlift, Cloud Nothings, Craig Finn, Grace Woodroofe, Porcelain Raft, Rhyton, and Rodrigo y Gabriela.

Big Deal – Lights Out
Cardinal – Hymns
Chairlift – Something (Listen… doubt link will last too long)
Cloud Nothings – Attack On Memory
Craig Finn (of The Hold Steady) – Clear Heart, Full Eyes
First Aid Kit – The Lion’s Roar
Gonjasufi – MU.ZZ.LE
Grace Woodroofe – Always Want (listen)
The Koffin Kats – Our Way And The Highway
Laura Gibson – La Grande
The Maccabees – Given To The Wild (listen)
Madi Diaz – Plastic Moon (listen) – playing Nashville tonight at Grimey’s (6pm) & Revolver (8pm)
Nada Surf – The Stars Are Indifferent To Astronomy
Porcelain Raft – Strange Weekend
Rhyton – Rhyton
Rodrigo y Gabriela: Area 52
