Delta Spirit returns to Nashville to play The Cannery Ballroom on April 6th along with upstart band WATERS.  Thanks to the fine folks down in Chattanooga that run The South Rail for the hat tip on that one.

You may remember us talking about Delta Spirit as part of that “parking lot” show last August with Surfer Blood, The Rosebuds, and others.  Well, they’ve been invited back to play (inside this time) Cannery Ballroom.  Check out the link above for more information about Delta Spirit, and you can have a listen to even more of their music over at their bandcamp page.

The opener for this one will be WATERS.  WATERS is the new band of Van Pierszalowski (of former band Port O’Brien), and they have been getting a lot of buzz surrounding the release of their debut LP Out In The Light.  The first single off of that album “For The One” has been getting a lot of play on alternative radio, and you can check that out below.

You can get more information on the Cannery Ballroom show here.  Things get started around 9pm, and you can grab your $15 ticket here.  Get out and see some live music.

You can also check out a number of QMtv sessions of WATERS performing songs from Out In Light via The South Rail via Quit Mumbling.
