OFF!, Exit/In, Tonight In Nashville

Do you not know (or care) what shoegaze means?  Do you need some music with a bit more punch tonight?  Maybe a show that you can ride your skateboard to?  Do you need something that is going to get the body moving… probably into the person next to you?  Do you want to disregard (not that we condone it) the “No Stage Diving” signs at Exit/In?  Then, you definitely want to go check out OFF! tonight at Exit/In.

OFF! is the four-piece, super group LA punk band consisting of Keith Morris (Black Flag/Circle Jerks), Dimitri Coats (Burning Brides), Steven McDonald (Redd Kross), and Mario Rubalcaba (Earthless/Hot Snakes/Rocket From the Crypt).  If you know what you just read above, then you are probably already going.  If you don’t, just go check it out.  These guys are going to punch you in the face, then probably spit down your throat… but, you’ll like it and ask for more.  Stereogum did when they named OFF! one of their 40 best new bands of 2011.

OFF! is currently touring in support of possibly the longest, shortest EP box set ever (16 tracks playing for just over 18 minutes total).  It just means you couldn’t take much more.  Tickets are available here.  Things get started around 8pm with Retox and Cerebral Ballzy.  You’ll know you are there when you see security trying to stop skateboarders from wall-riding the infamous facade at Exit/In.  Check the new video for the song “Crawl” below to see what I am talking about.  Hall of Meat!
