Free Beer Island Show, Nashville

The always entertaining Nashville Cream is reporting that a music festival is happening at the awesomely named Free Beer Island in Nashville’s Percy Priest Lake.  The festival starts at noon on Sunday, August 14th (don’t believe any poster stating August 13th that you may see) and continues until 5:45 pm.  Acts will include TURBO FRUITS, Majestico, Bad Cop, Cannomen, Denney and the Jets, Ranch Ghost and Special Guests: Big Boys!

This festival is free, but you will have to figure out how to get over to the Island.  A ferry has been set up for $8 in advance or $12 at the dock, and that seems to be the most logical choice.  If you have your own boat, kayak, floaties, you are free to save your $$$ and head over for free.  The event is BYOB, so unless you are an attractive female that likes to make friends by bumming beers, don’t count on the “free beer” name holding true here.

Here is a link to the marina (parking), the island, and the cliff area that the ferry will take you to drunkenly show off.

This sounds like a ton of fun, but we remind everyone to be safe and drink responsibly.  The cops don’t always see the same humor that you do in drunken boating and cliff diving.

For more information, visit the event’s Facebook page.
