I guess having seen a broke mother turn her children’s subway entertainment into the world-wide phenomenon of Harry Potter made an impression on indie-rocker Colin Meloy of the Decemberists. Well, now that Harry Potter is over, Meloy, along with his wife, has released a children’s book entitled, Wildwood. You can read a quick little blurb about it from Rolling Stone.
Meloy and his Decemberists will be in Nashville on August 6th for a show at the Ryman. If you are the type that loves inspired lyrical indie folk (ala Death Cab For Cutie), this is a do not miss show for you. You can get tickets here. Below are a couple of songs to help you spend your money.
