Lionize – Bonnaroo Preview

Lionize evokes the sounds of New Orleans funk, mastery of dubby-rock, and some serious stoner rock good times.  These cats are making a name for themselves by recording with Steel Pulse, collaborating with the likes of Ozomatli, and supporting other Bonnaroo acts like Kylesa.

For most folks, a hot summer time festival isn’t complete without some soothing reggaeton beats.  If that’s what you need, Lionize will have your clouded brain nodding to the beats in the Tennessee heat at this year’s Bonnaroo.  Check them out on Saturday (6/10) at the On Tap Lounge from 5:20 to 6:10 pm.  If you don’t catch them there, you’ll have to travel around with the Van’s Warped Tour where they will be the rest of the summer.

Check out a pretty good live video below, and you can listen to their new album Destruction Manual to get you acquainted.  You can also get some more info over at the band’s Bonnaroo page or the Lionize website.
