The last time the Eagles of Death Metal landed in Nashville, they were opening for The Strokes at the Ryman in 2006. Almost a decade later, Jesse “The Devil” Hughes & co. finally came back to Music City, last week at Cannery Ballroom. The crowd for the show was just what you’d expect – an eclectic mix of leather, tattoos, facial hair, hip haircuts, and crazy outfits. Touring in support of their new album Zipper Down, the Eagles came ready to party even more than usual – as it happened to be Jesse Hughes’ birthday, and he promised to party even harder than he already does on the daily. Read about the show, which also featured Jesika von Rabbit, and peep pics by Olivia Ladd after the jump!

Catch Twin Shadow w/ KiND | TONIGHT at Exit/In!

TwinShadow-620

It’s a stroke of luck that we even have a chance to see Twin Shadow in town tonight. If you haven’t already heard, George Lewis, Jr., a.k.a. Twin Shadow, and co. were involved in a serious bus accident during their Eclipse tour last April. Twelve people were hospitalized in the aftermath of the crash, including every member of the band. Lewis himself required reconstructive hand surgery before he could continue playing music. They were forced to cancel their tour dates for months. On the positive side, they have all made full recoveries and now the most perfectly coiffed man in the music business is back on the road to Nashville for his first local stop since the incident. Head to Exit/In tonight, Sept. 25 to catch the latest show on their Night Rally Tour, which is sure to be a night of soaring highs and plenty of dancing. The 18+ show starts at 9 p.m. (doors at 8), and tickets are $20 here. Local electro-pop outfit KiND will open the show. Continue past the jump to read more about each band!

Catch Eagles Of Death Metal & Jesika Von Rabbit Tonight @ Cannery Ballroom!

Eagles Of Death Metal-2015-620

It’s been seven years since we last saw Jesse “The Devil” Huges and Josh “Baby Duck” Homme make music together, but now they’re back to make our asses shake once again.  Zipper Down is the newest release from the Eagles of Death Metal, and while it doesn’t hit stores until October 2nd, you can get a live preview tonight, Sept. 24, at Cannery Ballroom. They’re bringing their signature style of clever, hip-shaking rock-n-roll that sounds just as at home around a stripper pole as a comedy club. Sadly, Josh “Carlo Von Sexron” Homme most likely will not be there, as he’s not a usual touring member – but Jesse “Boots Electric” Huges and his glorious mustache are the real stars of the show here. And supporting him will most likely be his typical live touring band featuring “Darlin'” Dave Catching on guitar, Matt “Matt McJunkins” McJunkins filling in for Brian “Big Hands” O’Connor on bass, and Jeff “The White Don Cheadle” Friedl on drums. Did I mention they’re big on nicknames in this band? Put on your dancing boots and come on down to Cannery to see the whole gang tonight. Opening the show will be LA songstress Jesika von Rabbit. The 18+ show starts at 8:30pm, and tickets will cost you a cool $20, which you can buy here. Find out more about each band after the jump!.
