Peter Bradley Adams is a songwriting force to be reckoned with. Formerly of folk/pop duo Eastmountainsouth, the melancholy songwriter now has four solo LPs and an EP under his belt, countless placements in both TV and film (remember Elizabethtown?), and will bring his combo of smooth vocals and sincere lyrics to our very own Exit/In this Saturday night. Accompanying Adams on the bill is songwriter Angel Snow, whose meeting with Alison Krauss at the house of a mutual friend led to a musical partnership with Krauss’s brother Viktor, as well as enthusiastic support from the legendary singer herself. After the jump, check out tracks from both artists and find out how you can win FREE tickets to see this fantastic musical lineup on Saturday night, when Adams will release his latest solo effort, which was recorded right here in Nashville!
PETER BRADLEY ADAMS
If you’ve turned on your TV in the past ten years, chances are you’ve heard a song by Peter Bradley Adams. Hailing from Birmingham Alabama, the rootsy songwriter now calls Brooklyn, NY home (via Nashville & Los Angeles), and continues to pen heartfelt, thoughtful songs. He most recently finished tracking his latest album at historic RCA Studio A here in Nashville, and will be performing with his full band this Saturday night at Exit/In. Check out a live acoustic performance of his beautiful song “For You” below.
Folk songwriter Angel Snow has an impressive team of musicians at her side and boasts three cuts on Alison Krauss & Union Station’s latest album, but is a captivating solo artist in her own right. Since meeting two years ago, Snow and Viktor Krauss’s musical partnership has proven fruitful, leading to gorgeous songs like “Lie Awake,” and performance opportunities including opening for Alison Krauss & Union Station at the Ryman. Check out a performance she did here at Music City Roots in Nashville of the Krauss/Snow co-write “Lie Awake” below, which is on the newest Alison Krauss & Union Station record.
