Jason Isbell, Brandi Carlile, Old Crow Medicine Show, Sheryl Crow, Margo Price, Soccer Mommy, More Team Up for “To Nashville, With Love” Benefit Show | March 9 @ Marathon Music Works

It’s been a heartbreaking, challenging, and surreal week here in Nashville, as our city grapples to process, mourn, and rebuild in the wake of Monday’s devastating tornado. But, in the face so much tragedy, our community has also shown all of the strength, resilience, and perseverance we’ve come to expect from this wonderful and caring city. If you’re not already, we encourage you to follow our Instagram stories, where we’ve been doing our best to share as much information, resources, calls for help, offers to help, etc, as we can, while, each day, we’re continually impressed with the outpouring of love, support, and organization happening all over town.

Already, several benefit shows and prior shows converted into benefits have been taking place this week, but, being Music City and all, we had no doubt something larger would seen materialize. And unsurprisingly, the folks at Lightning 100, Marathon Music Works, and a whole host of local sponsors have snapped to action, recruiting an unbelievable lineup of local artists set to perform this Monday, March 9 at Marathon Music Works: (in alphabetical order) Aaron Lee Tasjan, Ashley McBryde, Brandi Carlile, Brothers Osborne, Dan Auerbach, Jason Isbell, Katie Pruitt, Kendell Marvel, Margo Price, Mike “Grimey” Grimes, Old Crow Medicine Show, Sadler Vaden, Sheryl Crow, Soccer Mommy, and Yola!

According or organizers “Funds raised will be dispersed between organizations helping with disaster relief and mental health after tragedy. Confirmed beneficiaries include The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee, The Red Cross’ Southern Tornadoes and Floods Fund, and The OnSite Foundation. All donations to this fund will be administered by The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee.” We’ve also heard that the event will staff displaced venue and bar workers, and all spaces, sales, time, and everything that could be donated has been, clearing the way for a significant fundraising effort. Tickets are $75, and they’re not going to last long (and if you miss out, you can still donate to efforts here regardless)!

UPDATE: The show managed to sell out swiftly, but Lightning 100 has also announced plans to live stream the event. If you’re simply looking for another way to help out, there are countless ways to donate time (like Hands On Nashville) and money (like the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee).
