Are you into experimental, electronic, synthey-rock music?  Then you might have just figured out your plans for Saturday night in Nashville.

Moonface is the moniker of Spencer Krug who you might know as the lead man of his other projects Wolf Parade (Sub Pop), Sunset Rubdown (JagJaguwar), and Swan Lake (JagJaguwar).  This doesn’t include past projects like Frog Eyes & Fifths Of Seven, and he also was the touring keyboardist for Destroyer’s European tour.  With a catalogue of 20 LP’s or EP’s since 2002 (and 17 since 2005), Spencer is clearly nominated for the title of hardest working man in music.  Spencer “Moonface” Krug is an accomplished songwriter and musician.  So, if you are into this kind of music, it is well worth your time and $8 (can you believe that?) to get out for the show at 12th and Porter in Nashville on July 30th.

UK webzine, Drowned in Sound, did a pretty good write up about new LP Organ Music Not Vibraphone Like I’d Hoped.  You can listen below to a track from the new LP (“Fast Peter”) and a 20-minute track from his Dreamland EP, Marimbas and Shit-Drums.  The dude sure can name some records.  If you like what you hear, head over to spin magazine where you can stream the whole new LP in preparation for the show on Saturday.  You can pre-order the album (releases on 8/2/2011) over at the JagJaguwar website.

Click here to get your tickets for the show.  Get out there and see some cool new music.
