Music’s most famous married duo, pop and r&b icon Beyoncé and hip hop trailblazer Jay-Z teamed up back in 2014 for their first joint tour, dubbed On the Run. A critical and commercial smash, though only a few short years ago, the outing feels like a lifetime when you consider everything that’s happened in the pair’s lives since. Mere months after the infamous “elevator incident,” the first OTR was plagued by early rumors of infighting and impending divorce. Beyoncé’s most recent album, a career-defining masterpiece and instant modern classic, Lemonade, only added fuel to the flame, addressing head-on apparent accusations of (subsequently confirmed) spousal infidelity on Jay-Z’s part. Bey then toured on that record, bringing her to Nissan Stadium in the fall of 2016, and the following year, Jay-Z dropped his remorseful (and surprisingly great) 4:44, embarking on a tour of his own, which hit Bridgestone Arena late last year.

The power couple have not only made amends, but also welcomed twins into the world in early 2017 (forcing Beyoncé to postpone her headlining spot at Coachella to this year’s event), and the fact that they’re currently in the midst of an epic second worldwide joint tour, the appropriately named On the Run II, as well as the recent surprise release of a long-rumored collaboration album, EVERYTHING IS LOVE, billed as The Carters, serve as even further confirmation that things are rock solid once more. While the first OTR skipped Nashville, OTR2 remedies that, with a planned outing tonight, Aug. 23  at Vanderbilt Stadium. Considering Queen Bey played the significantly larger Nissan Stadium last time around, this is comparatively intimate spot to see double the star power.

A variety of tickets are still available right here, and though lots of big shows hit Nashville this week, none will be be the guaranteed epic that is Beyoncé and Jay-Z!
