Just days after wowing us in Louisville at Forecastle Fest (and a year after an epic comeback at Bonnaroo), beloved Brooklyn dance punk outfit LCD Soundsystem have expanded their fall U.S. tour to include an Oct. 20 stop at Nashville’s Municipal Auditorium, their first time ever properly playing Music City.
The legendary band, led by scene veteran James Murphy, formed 15 years ago, only to disband in 2011 after crafting three unparalleled LPs. After months of speculation, they announced their return in early 2016 (a decision apparently influenced by Murphy’s time spent working with the late David Bowie), and are on track to release a highly-anticipated fourth album, American Dream, on Sept. 1.
Tickets for the group’s Nashville debut go on sale this Friday, July 21, at 10 a.m. CDT right here, and you can currently sign up through Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan program for a chance at special pre-sale access on Thursday.
