Held annually at the end of Pride Month, the long-running Nashville Pride Festival is an important celebration of our city’s LGBTQIA community, and has, since beginning with a parade in 1988, grown to become a huge and revelrous affair, complete with performances from big-name musical acts. This year, the festival returns to Public Square Park on June 24 & 25, and will again feature the annual Equality Walk, activities for attendees of all ages, hundreds of local venders, VIP areas and lounges, and, of course, a main stage for live music. Pride always hosts great artists, with past years boasting the likes of Vanessa Carlton, En Vogue, St. Lucia, and Betty Who, but this year might just have the festival’s coolest lineup yet, with the recent announcement of 2017 performers Lizzo, Conrad Sewell, Big Freedia, La Bouche, CeCe Peniston, Ty Herndon, Julien Baker, Ezra Furman, Bright Light Bright Light, Alanna Royale, AJA, Trevor James Tillery, and more!
At just $10, general admission tickets are a steal, or, if you want the full experience, several VIP levels are also available, all right here. A fun and, of course, diverse festival that manages to find a very cool niche apart from other June events like CMA Fest and Bonnaroo, Pride is a must-see event no matter where you fall on the spectrum of gender or sexuality, and with a musical lineup this good, it’s the best year ever to join the celebration!
