It’s been nearly four months since we got our first taste of James Wallace’s new Skyway Man project. We started off with the first course of the future folk single “Terre, 9999,” which really set the table for the upcoming LP Seen Comin’ From A Mighty Eye. In the months since, we’ve watched Skyway Man a badass debut video, saw a Pink House Session performance, and they even stopped in at our latest Christmas Caroling Party.
There have been a few warm up shows to push the new record of late, with appearances at Grimeys, Third Man, and Mercy Lounge, but the official vinyl release party takes place this tonight, Feb. 24 at Little Harpeth Brewing. Skyway Man will be joined by Jasmine Kaset Band (whom you may know from Birdcloud), Paperhead, and Kneel Jung. Special guests include William Tyler, Kyshona Armstrong, and more, and there will be visual projections by Mike Kluge. Tickets are available for $8, or you can splash out $30 for VIP here, which includes the double vinyl and two “premium draft beers.”
