Though music has always been Bonnaroo‘s main attraction, the long-running Manchester, Tenn. fest has long had a broader reach, showcasing film, artisan vendors, food and drink, sports, activism, culture, and, of course, comedy. Typically, at least a few big name comedians are announced along with the initial festival lineup (often helping make the announcement, in many instances), but this year was a bit of break. Comedians totally absent on last month’s lineup announcement, but we knew they’d arrive sooner or later, and today’s reveal of Bonnaroo’s full 2017 comedy slate feels worth the wait.

Joining musical acts like U2, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Weekend, Chance the Rapper, Lorde, The xx, Glass Animals, Tegan and Sara, Car Seat Headrest, The Front Bottoms, The Orwells, White Reaper, Cage the Elephant, Margo Price, and many more, Bonnaroo’s Comedy Theatre this year will play host to Hannibal Burress, Natasha Leggero & Moshe Kasher, 2 Dope Queens (Jessica Williams & Phoebe Robinson), Kyle Kinane, Hari Kondabolu, Mike Lawrence, The Improvised Shakespeare Company, Sam Morril, Jo Firestone, Seaton Smith, Sabrina Jalees, Chris Garcia, and Morgan Miller, presumably with a full more names still to be added.

‘Roo has long done a great job of mixing big name, recognizable talent with a lot of promising up and comers in the comedy world, and this year is no different. In the coming months, we’ll help get you up to speed on all of the performers with extended previews, so keep a look out, and don’t forget to snag your tickets right here. Bonnaroo returns June 8-11 for its 16th year.
