Since relocating from Philly, former Toy Soldiers frontman Ron Gallo has been forging quite an impressive solo career, and his mix of blues, punk, and country into a swirling, fuzzed out flavor of garage rock has culminated in some of our favorite releases of recent years. Gallo has a new album, Heavy Meta, set to arrive Feb. 3 on New West Records, but, as we recently announced, he’ll be dropping by our annual Christmas Caroling Show first this Saturday, Dec. 17 at The 5 Spot to help bring you some free holiday cheer. As a sneak peek of what to expect, we’re excited to premiere Ron’s earnest take on holiday classic “White Christmas,” which captures his versatility and timeless sensibilities.
