Innovative songwriter Eleanor Friedberger has been captivating audiences for years with her unique vocal stylings and throwback sound. Fans both new and old will get a taste of her brand new music when she visits the recently-relaunched 12 & Porter on April 16. The show is 18+, and tickets are only $15 when purchased in advance.
Since her indie rock band The Fiery Furnaces took an indefinite hiatus in 2011, Friedberger has been carefully shaping her own sound as a solo artist. Later this week, she’ll release her highly-anticipated third studio album, New View. Her latest offering is crafted around the sounds of the 1970s, citing greats like Van Morrison and George Harrison as influences. Check out the appropriately trippy video for “Sweetest Girl” after the jump.
